Hello all. So Im new to this site but I will give it a shot. I have a simple question. Can cancer be detected by a blood test?
Thanks
Hey there Max. Welcome to the forum. There are some blood tests which could suggest possible cancer like a CEA for example but in general a person can have normal labs and still have cancer. There are tests available to look for cancer DNA in patients who already had cancer and we can use these tests to look for early cancer recurrence.
Hi Doctor,
Can nerve damage from chemotherapy be reversed?
It depends on the chemo used and how quickly it was stopped. If mild then it might improve. Other chemo agents may cause permanent damage. Medication like neurontin and some B vitamins might help.
